BIO
Mitch Huyck
For fine art photographer Mitch Huyck, art lives where dramatic landscapes transition—from the rugged peaks of his native Colorado to the fluid depths of the ocean. Today, his creative vision anchors itself in Sarasota, Florida, where vibrant coastal waters and rich ecosystems inspire his most immersive collections.
Specializing in fine art coastal landscapes and technical underwater photography, Mitch explores the unique boundary between air and water. An experienced diver and visual storyteller, his work captures perspectives few ever witness firsthand. His underwater imagery earned top honors for Best Traditional Wide Angle at the national Digital Shootout, and his landscape work is featured in regional art publications.
Utilizing specialized camera systems and underwater housings, Mitch produces museum-quality prints on high-impact mediums, including mid-gloss metal and gallery-grade museum acrylic.
When he isn’t diving local reefs or fly-fishing the flats, Mitch remains dedicated to the core mission of Salt Peak Studio: Explore the wild places from ocean depths to mountain peaks, Capture the fleeting brilliance of natural light, and Inspire a lifelong connection to our living landscapes.
